The (Hopefully Temporary) Disappearance Of A Blogger

Woman's Head Profile Oval FrameBesides investing more money into The Outspoken TULIP than I care to admit (while living on a fixed income), I genuinely love blogging. Perhaps my stats indicate that I’m not that good at it, and I suppose using my own artwork has hurt me, but I love my blog. Writing exhilarates me, particularly when I do my own typing.

Now, however, my fractures severely limit the time I can be in my wheelchair, which in turn limits my time on my computer. We hired someone to come in mid-day, but I have serious doubts that she’ll work out.

Other issues  (global, national and domestic) add to my sense of despair. Okay,  I’ll admit it: I’m depressed. The only hope I have right now is in Christ’s return. Turning 65 has already taught me that being elderly squeezes all the pleasure out of this life. And America’s apparent determination to follow Venezuela into socialism compounds my pessimism.

Simply put, I’m in a bad place physically, emotionally and spiritually right now. As a result, I think The Outspoken TULIP needs to go on hiatus. As John says,  hopefully it’ll be a short one. Because I love blogging, I  agree.

  1. God makes us right again.
Create in me a pure heart, God, and make my spirit right again. Psalm 51:10
What we are all craving for is Righteousness, that’s what we are all thirsty for. We’re thirsty for a clean conscience. We yearn for a fresh start. We pray for a hand that will enter the dark cavern of our world and do for us the one thing we can’t do for ourselves – make us right again. I will keep praying for your recovery and a brighten spirit.

  2. DebbieLynne, please know we are praying for you. You have taught us all, so very much. When I see your blog, in my email, I always smile. Your writing always honors, and glorifies the Lord. In the glorifying of self atmosphere, we women have, this day, what a beacon for Him, you are. As an RN, I understand the effort it is for you, each day, in all ways. I have learned so much from you, Michele Lesley, and Marcia Montenegro. I then tell my friends, and the circle widens. Bless you, as you serve Him. What joy, when we see the face of Him, whom we love!

  3. Dear DebbieLynne,
So sorry to hear you are struggling. Know that I am praying for you.
“So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.”
    blessings to you and John

  5. DebbieLynne,

May the God of all grace and comfort be your comfort and grace during this time. You are a faithful follower of the Lord. May He wash over you with the truth of His Word and uplift you in mind and spirit.

    Psalm 43 ESV
1 Vindicate me, O God, and defend my cause against an ungodly people,
from the deceitful and unjust man
    deliver me!
2 For you are the God in whom I take refuge; why have you rejected me?
Why do I go about mourning
because of the oppression of the enemy?
    3 Send out your light and your truth;
let them lead me; let them bring me to your holy hill and to your dwelling!
4 Then I will go to the altar of God,
to God my exceeding joy, and I will praise you with the lyre, O God, my God.
5 Why are you cast down, O my soul,
and why are you in turmoil within me?
Hope in God; for I shall again praise him,
    my salvation and my God.
